Movie Verdict

In order to attract an Indian audience, even if a film is based on a true story, its producers will almost certainly include some purely commercial features. Even in the relatively few sequences where they appear, such aspects are integral to the plot of Aye Zindagi. Many of the film’s sequences have been seen in other films, despite the fact that the movie was meant to depict the difficulty and significance of real life. Despite the great acting, the film’s emotional drama may not resonate with viewers due to a weak script and direction. Even though the preview gave us a good idea of what to expect, the actual sequences leave us feeling more bored than they do connect to the characters.

Satyajeey Dubey is working harder than ever to establish himself as a credible performer. He’s really convincing as the terminally ill Vinay Chawla, who has given up hope of ever recovering.

However, there are a few instances where his acting seems a touch too exaggerated. There is no question that Revathi is a talented actor. As always, she was outstanding and completely committed to her role. Sawan Tank is okay-looking and Mrinmayee Godbole was fantastic in her role. The rest of the cast members played their parts adequately.

The filmmaking in Aye Zindagi is rather standard. Anirban Bose and Surel Ingle’s score is average at best. Though cinematographer Surjodeep Ghosh does a respectable job overall, the majority of the film’s shots are unremarkable. The film’s production values reflect what’s needed to tell the story.

Anirban Bose, the film’s director, might have improved the film’s reception by putting more effort into the script. There are a couple of parts in the film that are a little too theatrical, and they might remind you of Indian soap operas. Anirban picked a solid script, but his writing and performance let it down.

There are some good performances and the story is compelling, but Aye Zindagi is ultimately just an average drama.
