Movie Verdict
From the time of the elder NTR to the release of Bahubali, Telugu audiences have witnessed a multitude of social fantasy films. In contrast to the majority of time travel films, the plot of Bimbisara takes place in a parallel universe that has nothing to do with the past or future. This distinguishes Bimbisara from other films involving time travel.
The first half of the film focuses primarily on Kalyan Ram’s portrayal of Bimbisara. It also contains several action sequences and concludes with a massive explosion. When a man from the present meets the Bimbisara ghost, the second half of the film shifts to Hyderabad, which is slow yet quickly captures the audience’s attention.
The premise of Bimbisara is not particularly original, but the dark undertones and intriguing concept of the main character will keep you engaged till the conclusion. However, there are significant issues with the film, including an ineffective love narrative, a few songs that make no sense, and some logical flaws.
It is difficult to choose a favorite character from Kalyan Ram’s two roles because he is so brilliant at assuming the role and delivering his words. Even though all of the actors in Bimbisara are excellent, Prakash Raj’s Vishwanandan Varma portrayal stands out.
The director, Vassishta, deserves respect for maintaining audience interest in this intricate plot. But he could have done a greater job if he had devoted more time and energy to creating the emotional core of the film, a young character.
The vista from Bimbisara will wow anyone who understands how to see properly. Even though Chota K. Naidu’s cinematography had some excellent moments, the majority of the film’s pictures were overly bright and had a heavy color tone, and M.M. Keeravani’s music fell short of expectations. The other departments performed admirably, and Keeravani’s background score demonstrated his talent.
Social realism and imagination are combined in the film Bimbisara, making it interesting for a large audience.
