Cirkus Movie Review: Ranveer Singh is one of today’s most youthful and dynamic actors, and Rohit Shetty is a master at creating comedic and action-packed films that keep audiences engaged. Today’s release, “Cirkus,” was produced by Ranveer and Rohit Shetty, who collaborated on the successful film “Simmba.” They are currently working on “Cirkus,” which is now in theatres (December 23, 2022). Let’s examine the whole review of this picture to determine whether this duo was successful in making people laugh with their comedy film, or whether, like every other Hindi film released in the past few months, they failed.

Movie Verdict
Rohit Shetty’s comedies are typically slapstick comedies that make light of awkward situations between performers. Cirkus employs the same approach for its comedy, but because there are already several Hindi films with comparable moments, it fails to amuse. The plot of this film is reminiscent to Judwaa, which was released in 1997 and starring Salman Khan. The film’s narration is as archaic as its plot, and it never piques anyone’s interest.
The film contains a number of excellent performers who can capture an audience’s attention with only their body language and one-liners, but Rohit Shetty, who constantly uses predictable plots and funny moments that add nothing to the story, has once again wasted these actors. Cirkus brings nothing fresh to the table in terms of plot, production, or humorous moments now that consumers can watch numerous films on OTT platforms. Everything about the film is disappointing: the story, the manner it is conveyed, the twists, the incomprehensible jokes, and everything else. The only interesting aspect of this film is how it connects to the Golmaal films to create a world in the style of Rohit Shetty.
In many of the film’s moments, Ranveer Singh’s performance seems absurdly exaggerated. Ranveer’s hairdo appears odd on screen as well. Despite Ranveer’s best efforts, several of the film’s sequences were poorly written, making them appear quite stupid. As usual, Jacqueline Fernandez didn’t deliver. She had the same expression in the majority of situations, and she contributed little to the film besides attractiveness. In the film, Pooja Hegde’s performance did not stand out, which was yet another letdown. Only Sanjay Mishara, Varun Sharma, and Johny Lever are capable of making us chuckle. The other actors performed admirably in their roles, as required by the film’s premise.
The way in which Cirkus appears is adequate. Even though the songs by Devi Sri Prasad, Badshah, DJ Chetas, and Lijo George are not particularly good, they can temporarily improve the mood of theatregoers. The background music by Amar Mohile is acceptable. Cinematography by Jomon T. John is excellent, but the colour grading, which uses very saturated colours in every shot, makes the film appear quite odd. The art department and costume designers did an excellent job of making the 1960s setting feel authentic. The film is produced in an excellent manner.
This again, Rohit Shetty has failed to make people laugh since his jokes are always the same and the plot is lifted from numerous other films. If he wishes to continue making people laugh, he must take better care of his stories and how he tells them.
Cirkus is predominantly a predictable comedy that provides a few laughs. If you enjoy comedy similar to those that Rohit Shetty creates, you can watch this film in a theatre.
