Movie Verdict
The premise and tone are intriguing, and you’ll be anxious to see how the story unfolds, even if it takes a while to get to the meat of it. She is attacked in various parts of the city as a result of the lockdown, and the plot develops when a malicious power enters the picture and her family attempts to rescue her. Unlike other horror films, the first act was dominated by sorrowful rather than scary situations.
There is no intermission, but the unexpected change in pace delivers a fantastic twist, and the rest of the movie just gets better from there. The story has a few flaws, but it has a good premise and shocks that will have you on the edge of your seat. If you can get through the 90 minutes of narration, you’ll have a terrific time.
Nayanthara gives an outstanding performance as a struggling single parent. Her character had a lot of moving parts, yet she was able to pull them off with ease because they were so well crafted. Despite not having as much screen time as Anupam Kher, Satyaraj gave his best in his role as a spiritual pastor. Everyone else in the cast also gave it their all.
Connect’s technology is far superior to the competition. Manikantan Krishnamachary transfers the reader to the realm of Connect and helps them feel at ease by using vibrant colours and rich illustrations. Prithvi Chandrasekhar did an excellent job with the score, while the rest of the technical staff did an excellent job with the execution.
In the same vein, Connect is a fantastic story. Instead than focusing on scary things this time, he studied how people felt during a lockdown while still applying his signature plot twists. While Connects lacks the overwhelming dread of Mayuri or Game Over, the director is able to elicit an emotional response from the audience. Even though his writings contain alarming themes, Ashwin Saravanan is often taken aback by their creativity. He was able to accomplish this due to his exceptional writing abilities.
To summarise, Connect is an excellent film that everyone should see at least once.
