Movie Verdict

Everyone is aware that “Cuttputlli” is an actual remake of the immensely popular Tamil film “Ratsasan.” Despite being a remake, this film fails to capture the same level of viewer attention as the original. However, the intensity of the scenes failed to work and rendered this movie boring to watch. A few adjustments were made to the original to suit the nativity of the Hindi audience.

When it comes to acting, Akshay Kumar often gives the impression that he is not interested in working on this project because he appears worn out in most of the sequences. He excels in some dramatic passages, though. Rakul Preet Singh’s performance is subpar and she doesn’t fit the position of a teacher. The other performers all played their roles as required by the proceedings.

The movie looks fine technically. Tanishk Bagchi’s background music fits the on-screen action and evokes a suspenseful atmosphere. Rajeev Ravi’s cinematography is one of the movie’s standout features because, despite the fact that it was shot in some stunning settings, it perfectly captures the film’s gloomy tone. The movie’s production values meet all necessary standards.

Despite his best efforts, director Ranjit M. Tiwari unable to significantly alter the environment built in Tamil.

If you haven’t seen the Tamil original, Cuttputlli is yet another remake in Hindi that will delight viewers to some extent.
