Series Verdict

Numerous series have been made in the genres of romance, action, comedy, and thriller to date. The supernatural thriller series is translated into other languages quite infrequently. Dahan is one of those shows that offer a new genre, but the show’s narrative and production design make the circumstances appear extremely bland and devoid of impact. Even though a few of the series’ horror scenes were well-executed, we’ve seen them in so many other films that they fail to excite us. When we watch the entire nine-episode season in one sitting, we find only one or two episodes fascinating.

Tisca Chopra attempted to carry the series with her performance, but the poor production and writing hindered her from achieving success. On-screen, the actor Saurabh Shukla looks terrific and performed admirably. Rajesh Tailang had a commendable performance, and all of the other performers fulfilled their duties to keep the programme moving.

The Dahan series appears to be technically average. Even though the music was well-composed, it did not make us tremble during the terrifying scenes. In certain situations, the cinematography of Arkodeb Mukherjee is adequate, while in others it appears immature. To encourage viewers to commit to these 40–45 minute episodes, this show’s editing should have been improved.

The filmmaker, Vikrant Pawar, fell short of expectations by failing to provide an enthralling thriller. However, the filmmaker gets credit for his rough work in a few sequences and for introducing a new genre to the audience.

Overall, Dahan is a commendable effort, but it cannot retain viewers’ interest for the duration of a full episode.
