Darlings Hindi Movie Review: After Gangubai Kathiawadi did well last year, Alia Bhatt had another movie coming out this year that was only available on Netflix. She and Vijay Varma are in the Netflix OTT movie Darlings, which is now available to watch online. The trailer and teaser for the movie made it look like a darkly funny thriller. Let’s take a close look at the movie and see if it’s worth your time.
Story
Even though Hamza has been violent in the past, Badru thinks that he can change if he stops drinking. Then, when his anger gets out of hand, she and her mom do something very bad to get back at him. They start to treat him like he treated them by locking him in his own house and not letting him talk. As the missing person report for Hamza is being made, the police start to look into Badru and Hamza’s lives.

Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, Roshan Mathew, and Inayah Chowdhry are some of the people in the cast. The movie was made by Jasmeet K. Reen as the director and by Gaurav Varma, Gauri Khan, and Alia Bhatt as the producers. Vishal Bhardwaj and Prashant Pillai and Anil Mehta are in charge of the film’s score. Nitin Baid cut the movie together.

Movie Verdict
Darlings is a dark comedy that is very funny and talks about social problems that still happen today. Patriarchy is a way of life that has been around for millions of years and can still be seen in many Indian homes today. A middle-class family movie about a woman who is so sick of her husband’s stubbornness that she plans to torture him until he gives in. She has tried everything else to get him to change his mind, but nothing has worked.
This 2 hours and 14-minute movie have something that will appeal to every kind of viewer. The movie is a wild ride because the plot twists a lot and the leads are so good. We aren’t giving away a lot of details because the movie is full of shocking and unexpected things that will grab your attention and are best seen on a big screen.
As Badru, Alia Bhatt does yet another great job. Sometimes she seems innocent, sometimes she seems angry, and sometimes she just seems frustrated. Alia Bhatt is very good in the movie, but Shefali Shah is also a standout. Roshan Matthew did a good job with his role, and Vijay Varma did a good job, too. Everyone else did a great job with what they had to do.
Both the picture and the sound are great. The score by Vishal Bhardwaj and Prashant Pillai works well and fits the mood and plot of the movie. Anil Mehta did a good job behind the camera, especially considering how small the budget was and how few places were available. The director, Jasmeet K. Reen, does a great job of addressing a social issue and adding a layer of dark humor that will resonate with viewers.
In the end, Darlings is a fascinating black comedy whose main characters give outstanding performances.
