Series Verdict

A certain standard of content and production value is implied by a show’s debut on Amazon Prime. Despite Hush’s high standards, the subject matter of this season may not be appealing. This show’s premise is intriguing, and it might have been a great thriller, but the show’s execution fell short. While certain episodes and sequences look promising and have the potential to build suspense, others appear a bit over theatrical and detract from the show’s overall tone. Some of the shocks in this series aren’t as thrilling as others, but they’re still easy to follow up with.

On the acting front, it’s great to have Juhi Chawla back in the spotlight. Despite her appearance in the recent, underappreciated film Sharmaji Namkeen, she gives a strong performance in a character with a variety of nuances and convincingly carries it off here. Soha Ali Khan’s part in this series isn’t without potential, and she fares reasonably well in it. Karishma Tanna’s performance as a police officer was adequate. All of the actors, including Shahana Goswami, Kritika Kamra, Ayesha Julka, and the rest of the cast, performed excellent work in their roles.

Hush Hush has a nice visual style. The background music in this series is always appropriate for the episode’s tone. Shaz Mohammed performed a good job behind the camera, capturing some interesting and visually pleasing scenes. It was his lens that best captured the series’ tone. The quality of this show’s production is high.

Directors Tanuja Chandra, Kopal Naithani, and Ashish Pandey are behind this show. Each of these filmmakers had good intentions of making a compelling series but ultimately fell short.

To sum up, Hush hush is a decent drama series with occasional exciting moments.
