Kalapuram Telugu Movie Review: Satyam Rajesh is a well-known actor in Tollywood who has appeared in a wide variety of films. In contrast, he will take on the role of the movie’s protagonist for the first time in Kalapuram. In order to capitalise on the increased interest in the film caused by Pawan Kalyan’s teaser trailer, the film was released today, August 26, 2022. Story

A man who wants to make movies but has trouble finding a producer eventually finds one who will back his endeavour, but only if the movie is shot in Kalapuram. When the filmmaker becomes embroiled in a legal gambling dispute, the plot takes an unexpected turn. Finding out who committed the crime is the focus of the story’s remaining chapters.

Movie Verdict

Kalapuram features a slew of well-known comedians, but the film’s main story is really about the filmmakers themselves and their struggles to get their films made. On the other hand, you’ll probably be bored by most of the rest of the film.

Well, the beginning is intriguing since it demonstrates how difficult it is for the filmmaker to get a producer, but then it falls into a standard commercial zone with silly comedy and characters that don’t contribute anything to the tale. Even though the second part of the film is more engaging because Satyam Rajesh begins filming in Kalapuram village, the film ultimately fails to engage because of its predictable finale.

Jabaradast Apparao works well in his part, Chitram Seenu is serviceable, and the rest of the cast does a fantastic job with the material they were given. To say that Satyam Rajesh excels in his role would be an understatement.

Karuna Kumar creates a compelling narrative, but he lacks the filmmaking chops to bring it to the big screen. Although he tries, he just can’t seem to catch the film’s overarching mood, which is disappointing given the quality of the material.

On paper, Kalapuram shouldn’t be a problem. The majority of Prasad G.K.’s cinematography is solid, the score by Manisharma is what ultimately rescued the film, and everyone else involved in making the movie did a fine job as well.

Last but not least, Kalapuram is a movie worth seeing once if you’re stuck in a cinematic rut.
