Kantara Hindi Movie Review

Story

In Rishab Shetty’s tale, Shiva and his mother inhabit a small tribe. Due to a traumatic experience, he endured as a child, he has ceased performing Daivaradhane and Bhoota Kola. As long as he can hang out with his buddies and make money doing odd jobs for his landlord, he doesn’t mind living on the street (Achyut Kumar). With the introduction of Forest Officer Murali, the classic battle between man and environment takes on a new dimension (Kishore). Do you believe Shiva can prevent Murali from felling the forest? Perhaps Murali is really a ruse to get larger fish to bite.

Movie Verdict

With the release of KGF, Kannada films shifted from epics to more introspective tales such as Kantara. The film is about a conflict between humanity and nature, which is an intriguing concept that director Rishab Shetty executes brilliantly.

Later scenes presenting Shiva (Rishab Shetty) and the Kambla race are so well-shot that they make you feel like you’re a part of the action. The tale lacks originality and complexity, but the technical quality compensates.

Except for a few repeated scenes in the second half, the drama and suspense are well-balanced and keep the audience engaged until the finish. The final half-hour of the film will leave you stunned. The first half of the film was packed with entertaining sequences and humorous scenarios. The true tale of culture, traditions and a mystery emerged in the second part.

Rishab Shetty Kishore performed admirably as a capable forest officer, and the rest of the actors performed admirably as well. But Shiva is the most memorable aspect of the film. His transformation and effortless acting rendered the role believable.

Rishab Shetty demonstrates his acting ability and achieves his objective of portraying a story with a solid foundation. His skilled acting and direction immerse us in the narrative.

Kantara is an excellent cinematographer from a technical standpoint. Aravind Kashyap transports us to Kantara with the ideal atmosphere, lighting, and composition. B Even though Ajaneesh Loknath’s songs are not particularly memorable, his work on the background score (BGM) is great, and the rest of the movie’s technical aspects are equally nicely done.

In conclusion, Kantara is a Masterpiece and an absolute must-see in the cinema.
