Krishna Movies List: Krishna was born on May 31st, 1943 in the village of Burripalem, Mandal of Tenali, Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh to Ghattamaneni Raghavaiah Chowdary and Ghattamaneni Nagaratnamma. Krishna Ghattamaneni is a household name in Telugu films because of his many roles. Some of the most common deities to appear in their works include Siva and Rama. In his 50-year career, Krishna has made appearances in more than 350 films. For his philanthropic work, Andhra University presented him with a doctorate in humane letters in 2008. In 2009, he was honored for his contributions to Indian cinema by the Indian government with the Padma Bhushan. The Congress Party helped him win a seat in Congress in 1989.

To recognize his career-long achievements, the South Region Filmfare presented him with their Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997. Actor, director, and producer Ghattamaneni Krishna (or “Super Star Krishna”) also owns his own production company. In his near half-century career, Krishna has starred in more than 350 films. The prolific actor Krishna broke a record when he released 17 films in one calendar year. In that year, there were seventeen films with Krishna as the protagonist. This actor has won more Oscars than anyone else.

An early highlight of his career was an award-winning performance in the film Saakshi, which premiered at the 1968 Tashkent Film Festival. Pendant Kapuram, a film in which he had a leading role, was named the best Telugu film of 1972 by the National Film Critics Circle. He has tried his hand at acting out parts from the fields of history, folklore, mythology, theatre, and social science.

Krishna worked with many different directors in the film industry, including Adurthi Subba Rao, V. Madhusudhana Rao, K. Viswanath, Bapu, Dasari Narayana Rao, and K. Raghavendra Rao. In total, he has co-starred in nearly 48 films with Vijayanirmala and 47 with Jayaprada. In December 2012, at the age of 69, Krishna declared that he would be leaving politics. He had multiple roles in 25 movies, including the lead, supporting, and even a cameo in seven of them. A number of films have been produced by him and his brothers Hanumantha and Adiseshagiri Rao at their studio Padmalaya.
