Movie Verdict
Maayon fulfils the description of a treasure-hunting film, but it fails to maintain your interest throughout. As a result, the initial fascination to watch the remainder of the film diminishes. A narrator detailing the history of an ancient temple opens the film. Later, the focus changes to character introductions.
Although Maayon contains a number of intriguing plot lines, its strongest value is its questions regarding science outside of miracles. However, there are a few action sequences and exciting moments that keep you interested for a while.
Even though the rest of the cast gave it their all and Tanya Ravichandran’s role was well-developed, this film offered few opportunities for performance.
Despite the veracity of Kishore N’s assertion, the movie’s running period of two and a half hours allowed the opportunity for growth in the visual effects and cinematography by Ram Prasad, the music by maestro Ilaiyaraaja, and the efforts of the other technical team members.
If you enjoy watching adventure films, you should definitely check out Maayon.
