Movie Verdict

The genre of horror humour has the ability to be both frightfully entertaining and lighthearted at times. Despite the fact that the Hindi film industry has only just started to develop horror comedies, there are many movies of this genre in India. The plot and production of Phone Bhoot will make you think of other horror-comedy movies from various languages, even though it has some humorous moments.

Though the humour occasionally hit the mark, the film’s mindless, illogical circumstances render it intolerable. Horror comedies have the same creative freedom as other movies, but it doesn’t imply you can just make anything and show it on screen.

In terms of her acting roles, Katrina Kaif looks lovely on screen and gave it her all to show off her acting prowess. She looks good in the occasional funny sequences. The film’s best features are Ishan Khattar and Siddhant Chaturvedi, who tried to make every scene amusing with their spontaneity and comic timing. Sheeba Chaddha hardly appears in a few moments, yet she makes an acting impression. All of the actors—including Jackie Shroff—performed their parts in accordance with the plot’s requirements.

The visual appeal of Phone Bhoot is respectable. Even though the songs by Tanishk Bagchi, Mikey Mccleary, Rochak Kohli, and Roy aren’t great, you’ll still enjoy them because of John Stewart Eduri’s background music. K. U. did the photography for this movie. Mohanan is incredibly notable. The duration of the movie is an indication of Manan Ashwin Mehta’s skill as an editor. The movie has amazing production quality.

Director Gurmmeet Singh, who had previously directed a few episodes of Inside Edge and Mirzapur, tried to make a comedy-drama with Phone Bhoot. He only partially succeeds in offering healthy entertainment with this movie.

Overall, Phone Bhoot is a funny horror comedy movie with some funny parts that may be enjoyed on a wide screen for a few giggles.

  • Comedy
