Series Verdict
Only the most popular ideas among young people are picked up by TVF. The first season of Pitchers followed a group of young individuals as they sought funding for their businesses and encountered a variety of interesting characters along the way. Such challenges are familiar to any entrepreneur who has tried to go out on their own. Every group of friends will recognize themselves in the main characters, despite the fact that they share some universal characteristics.
Naveen and his pals launch a new company named Pragathi in the premiere episode of Season 2. There was a little pause in communication as they came to a series of agreements, but now that they have, everyone is at peace. The effort put in by Naveen, Saurabh Mandal, and Yogendra Pandey to achieve their goal and get their business back on track is what makes this episode engaging.
We won’t reveal Jithu’s involvement in the new season since we don’t want to give anything away. If you want to know if this fan-favorite character will return for Season 2, you’ll have to watch every episode.
Acting-wise, Naveen Kasturia, who portrayed the lead, was equally as good as he was in the first season. Abhay Mahajan’s comedic timing and one-liners from the first season carried over to the second. Arunabh Kumar, the show’s creator, played a significant role as the affable but easily irritated Yogendra Pandey. The sincerity with which he acted his part was heightened. Even more so than in the first season, Abhishek Banerjee plays a supporting role. He performed an excellent job in those few appearances. The rest of the cast members carried out their duties adequately.
The visual quality of Season 2 of Pitchers is high, and the score composed by Vaibhav Bundhoo complements the action well. Vaibhav Bundhoo also directs and films this season. Being a straightforward comedy-drama, the show makes do with no fancy visual effects, but the cinematography looks fine, especially considering the limited locations. Each episode is rather brief, which is a positive aspect of the season and likely the consequence of careful editing. Poorly written dialogue plagues many episodes. The production values are appropriate for the season’s narrative.
Director duo Vaibhav Bundhoo and Arunabh Kumar have done it again, creating a top-notch TV show with likable protagonists and antagonists. Their work is exemplary, and it is commendable that it is typically free of foul language.
Generally speaking, season 2 of Pitchers is another fascinating and likeable TVF drama that keeps us thinking with some thought-provoking conversation and situations. Don’t think twice about watching this riveting programme on the ad-free Zee5 streaming service.
