Raksha Bandhan Movie Review: Many Hindi-language remakes and biopics that have recently been released have angered viewers. In contrast to many of the major-league performers, Akshay Kumar was consistently there with blockbusters while the business was struggling. Actors like Samrat Prithviraj and Bachchan Pandey have dealt with box office failures.
Following the OTT success of “Atrangi Re,” Akshay Kumar and Aanand L Rai have teamed up again for “Raksha Bandhan.” The movie premiered in theatres today amid a lot of positive press and anticipation. We’ll go right into the review to let you know if this movie is worthwhile.
Lala Kedarnath, the oldest and lone son of four sisters, has taken over the family company. He promises his dying mother that he will wait to be married until he has finished finding his sisters loving homes. Lala continues his attempts to marry off his sisters while upholding his family’s morals. Lala’s relationship with Sapna, the young woman he first fell in love with, is also having issues at the moment. Lala’s devotion to his sisters prevents the love story between Sapna and Lala from progressing. She realizes the severity of it and decides to postpone her goal until Lala’s commitment has been kept.

After a run of awful remakes and biopics, Raksha Bandhan is a breath of new air on the big screen. Even though the story is well-known and has been around for a while, there are a few instances throughout the movie that will leave us in awe. There are a few funny scenarios in the film that are skillfully done and are likely to make people smile.
The actor actually excels in a few of the more emotionally charged scenes, despite the fact that Akshay Kumar’s portrayal of Lala is relatively conventional in terms of appearance and acting. The actor might want to concentrate on parts that are more challenging for him to play. Bhumi was able to give a terrific performance in a few brief scenes despite having a limited role. Sadia Khateeb stands out among the cast members who played the part because she previously dazzled viewers in Shikara with her performance as a sister. The rest of the cast also did a great job.
The movie has stunning visuals. Although the background music in some scenes can be a touch too loud, Himesh Reshammiya’s songs are a mixed bag. The film’s cinematographer, KU Mohnan, did an excellent job, and the images are vivid all throughout. Once again, Aanand L Rai, a master at handling emotional material, was successful in doing so and creating a sense of connection between the viewer and the actors on film.
Last but not least, Raksha Bandhan is a sentimental drama that is a little stale but contains elements that will connect with the audience.
