Verdict

After a run of awful remakes and biopics, Raksha Bandhan is a breath of new air on the big screen. Even though the story is well-known and has been around for a while, there are a few instances throughout the movie that will leave us in awe. There are a few funny scenarios in the film that are skillfully done and are likely to make people smile.

The actor actually excels in a few of the more emotionally charged scenes, despite the fact that Akshay Kumar’s portrayal of Lala is relatively conventional in terms of appearance and acting. The actor might want to concentrate on parts that are more challenging for him to play. Bhumi was able to give a terrific performance in a few brief scenes despite having a limited role. Sadia Khateeb stands out among the cast members who played the part because she previously dazzled viewers in Shikara with her performance as a sister. The rest of the cast also did a great job.

The movie has stunning visuals. Although the background music in some scenes can be a touch too loud, Himesh Reshammiya’s songs are a mixed bag. The film’s cinematographer, KU Mohnan, did an excellent job, and the images are vivid all throughout. Once again, Aanand L Rai, a master at handling emotional material, was successful in doing so and creating a sense of connection between the viewer and the actors on film.

Last but not least, Raksha Bandhan is a sentimental drama that is a little stale but contains elements that will connect with the audience.
