Verdict

In the past, there were numerous drug cases and an abundance of substances, which drove adolescents insane. The subject matter is the same, but this programme is more entertaining. Even though the concept of this series is identical to that of the similarly themed film “Udta Punjab,” the main character’s transformation into a spy makes the writing in this series more engaging and intriguing. Some portions in the middle of the episodes appear to move slowly and drag, but the style in which they are told and produced keeps us engaged until the finish. Against the backdrop of the drug mafia, there are some sequences that are quite unique and raw, yet many scenarios may appear very standard because they have appeared in other films.

Randeep Hooda is the most significant actor on this show, and his contributions have kept it on the air for its entire run. In other instances, he appears naive, calm, angry, and vicious. He is a terrific actor who can quickly portray any emotion required by the situation. Even though she just had a few scenes, Hasleen Kaur appears stunning on screen. Suvinder Vicky is another notable actor in this series. All of the extras fulfilled the story’s requirements.

Technically, the CAT series is attractive. Rakesh Varma’s (V Rakx Music) background music gives various scenes the tension they require. The realism with which Arvind Krishna films the natural landscape in Punjab is almost astonishing. Few episodes appear little too long, therefore the editing may have been improved. Excellent production values.

The directors of this series, Balwinder Singh Janjua, Rupinder Chahal, and Jimmy Singh, knew more about the lives of young people in Punjab and attempted to depict those lives in an engaging manner. With the exception of a few events in a few episodes, they were largely effective in maintaining audience attention.

Overall, CAT is a gripping and truthful television programme about the problems of young Punjabi heroin addicts and a brother who will do anything to help him stay clean.

Plus Points:
