Santosh was born on July 12, 1996, to Telugu cinema director Sobhan and his wife, Anita. Telugu film comedian Lakshmipati was his uncle. After graduating from college, Santosh decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and seek a career in filmmaking. Mohana Krishna Indraganti’s 2011 sports drama Golconda High School served as his feature debut.
While working with Avika Gor in Ram Mohan P.’s Thanu Nenu, in 2015, Santosh made his film acting debut. While The Hindu’s Y. Sunitha Chowdhary likened him to Srinivas Avasarala and stated he had “a lot of ease,” the Deccan Chronicle’s Suresh Kavirayani described him as “a surprise factor.” After Thanu Nenu, Santosh took a sabbatical from acting. 2018 saw the return of Santosh to the big screen with Paper Boy. In 2013, he appeared on The Grill for his next on-screen appearance.
