Shabaash Mithu Movie Review

Story

It’s all about cricketer Mithali Raj in Shabaash Mithu, a film based on her life story. A large portion of the video recounts her journey from infancy to becoming a cricket player and overcoming challenges as a female athlete in India. Mithali is introduced to cricket at the age of eight, despite her adamant resistance to the sport. She pursues her dream of becoming a cricket player with the help of a tutor or coach. As she makes her way through the cricketing world, her family, the governing body, and even some of her colleagues put up roadblocks for her. The rest of the story revolves around how she overcome all of the challenges and achieved success in her career.

Cast & Crew

Movie Verdict

Taapsee Pannu is one of Bollywood’s underappreciated performers. She has written and acted in a number of interesting screenplays and films that display her talents and show off her acting prowess.. Sports dramas and biopics have been standard fare for Hindi directors in recent years. Several films have been made about sports stars who were based on genuine stories, but if the story isn’t handled appropriately, they could all wind up sounding the same.
This isn’t the first time a character overcomes all of life’s obstacles to achieve a great objective; rather, it’s the screenplay that sets this one apart. This film is worth seeing, despite the fact that many of the sequences are similar to those in other biopics. Despite a few dull and slow passages in the initial and second parts, the film is certain to inspire women everywhere.
Taapsee Pannu once again shines in a role that requires a great deal of subtlety. Because we’ve already seen her in Rashmi Rocket, where she portrays an athlete, we receive the idea that she’s repeating herself here. If the plot is identical, the performance can be interchangeable. It’s time for her to do some study on the screenplays she’s considering.
The technical quality of the film appears to be excellent. Amit Trivedi’s music is pleasant to listen to, yet it lacks originality. As far as I can tell, both Sirsha Ray’s cinematography and the film’s production values are respectable. Srijit Mukherji, the film’s director, tried everything he could to make it look engrossing with his production values and narrative.
Finally, the genuine narrative of Shabaash Mithu should be seen in a theatre.
