Movie Verdict
There are not many films that explore the true meaning of life, the value of friendship, the significance of relationships, and, most importantly, the worth of liberty. The meaning of liberty will be depicted in the film Uunchai. The introductions of the main characters and their reasons demonstrate that the film takes some time to get into the story. The film continues as the trio decides to spread their comrade Bhupend’s ashes on Mount Everest, where his soul rests.
While the lethargic narrator causes us to feel a bit bored, the right amount of humour and the underlying emotion kept you engaged till the very end. Regardless of their ages, the trio’s attempts to convince their families to climb Mount Everest bring you into the film and make you feel like a participant. Amitabh Bachhan, Boman Irani, and Anupam Kher’s comedy becomes nothing more than fireworks until they reach the base.
In addition to Sarika, Neena Gupta, and Parineeti Chopra, the rest of the actors gave it their best. With their performances, however, acting stalwarts Amitab, Boman Irani, Anupam Kher, and Danny Denzongpa truly outdid themselves. They perfectly conveyed every emotion on film.
Although he was only partially successful in attracting their interest, the script that famous filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya penned was strong.
Technically, Uunchai is adequate, but the VFX for the Everest backdrop are terrible, whereas Manoj Kumar Khatel’s visuals are adequate. The score composed by Amit Trivedi is excellent, and the rest of the team did their best.
Uunchai is the most clear film in terms of conveying the value of friendship and the true meaning of freedom.
